Bonus Pai Gow Poker
Pai Gow Poker is played with the standard deck of 52 cards plus the joker. In the game of Pai Gow, the joker is used as an ace or a wild card to complete a card combination. This card game is played by 7 people - 6 players and the banker.
The game is one-to-one, each player playing against the banker as well as competing amongst themselves in making the best possible hand. All players are dealt with 7 cards each. The players then divide the seven cards into two hands - a high hand and the low hand. A high hand consists of 5 cards while the low hand consists of the remaining two.
The players must arrange the cards so that the five cards are bigger than the two card, hence the given names. The low hand must never exceed the value of a high hand, so if the low hand consists of a pair of face, a high hand must have two pair of cards that has an equal or greater value than the low hand.
If both a player’s low hand and high hand is higher than the banker, the player wins. However if only one of the player’s hand beats the dealer, it is considered a tie.
